Ray-Lax Inc., a Canadian company founded in 1990 by Mr. Raymond Roy, quickly established itself as a leader in the manufacturing of relaxation and wellness products in Quebec. Initially known as “La Chaisière,” the company began with a single product: a small ergonomic chair, now iconic under the name Ray-Lax Chair.
More than 25 years later, the Ray-Lax Chair remains the preferred choice for those seeking ergonomic support and flexible furniture. The company has continuously innovated, expanding its product line to include various relaxation, meditation, and yoga items.
The name “Ray-Lax” is a direct tribute to the founder, Raymond Roy. “Ray” refers to his first name, while the “L” in “Lax” symbolizes the distinctive shape of the chair, designed to provide optimal back support. This chair, renowned for its comfort and durability, quickly became a staple in both the Canadian and European markets.
These products are now widely used in schools, daycare centers, meditation retreats, yoga centers, libraries, and perinatal centers across the country. Now led by Mr. Roy’s two daughters, Anne-Marie and Nathalie, in the beautiful town of Lac-Mégantic, Ray-Lax is proud of its Quebec roots. All products are entirely made in Quebec, ensuring exceptional quality while supporting the local economy.
